Only a couple of weeks remain for the Darien Historical Society’s latest exhibit, “Darien: 1925-1950 — Golden Age of Art and Design.”

This exhibit begins with Darien's Guild of the Seven Arts, the second earliest art colony formed in New England, and tells the story of how New York's new media of radios, slick magazines, and Victrolas created a huge demand for artists and how many of these artists flocked to live and work in Darien and how they changed our town.

The show began in April and runs through Sept. 11 from noon to 5 pm on Tuesday to Thursday and Sundays from noon to 3 pm. The price of general admission is a non-member donation of $5.

This exhibit highlights the Society’s arts collection and is a major fundraising event.
