Nor’easter causes school closings, early dismissals
The threat of a nor’easter taking aim at Connecticut, has caused some school districts to be closed on Friday.
The rain that began falling early Friday morning is expected to change to snow in northern parts of the state.
Among the schools closed are Bethel, Brookfield, Christian Life Academy in Brookfield, Christian Heritage in Trumbull, Danbury, Henry Abbott Tech in Danbury, Easton, Litchfield, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield, Region 12, 14 and 15; Sherman and Torrington.
Schools with early dismissals including Fairfield, Westport, Greenwich and Oxford. Western Connecticut State University announced it will close at noon and has canceled afternoon and evening activities.
